The Michiana Elite Bird Fair is the largest bird fair in the Michiana area. A portion of the proceeds go to the Potawatomi Zoo and endangered bird species. In addition, all profits from food concessions are being donated to Bethel College, and two lectures on avian topics will be presented to Bethel College students. Therefore, it is an event that benefits the community as well as endangered bird species.
Allan, Pam, and all of the volunteers pride themselves in making this a family friendly event. Besides the many birds and bird related products offered, there will be a silent auction and free face painting and balloon sculptures for children. Renowned veterinarian and speaker Dr. Peter Sakas, DVM (Niles Animal Hospital, Chicago, IL) and Dr. Ric Berlinski, DVM (Toledo Zoo) will be featured at our fair, speaking on avian topics as well as answering questions one-on-one. You won't want to miss this bird fair!
